Choose professors or community leaders who know you well to write a 1-page recommendation letter for your application. Make sure that they know why you want to conduct this project and how it relates to your academic studies or career plan. Ask them to write about this in their letter.
Please ask your recommenders to specifically mention who they are, how they know you, and your name in the letter! The letters should be postmarked by November 21st.
Grant applications will be assessed by the staff of Students Serve based on the following standards:
- The proposed project is innovative and has the potential to make a significant impact on a community in need
- The grant recipient(s) will be able to use their academic knowledge or skills to complete the project
- The student(s) applying for the grant demonstrates how conducting the project will help them achieve their career goals
